Support the Clan Macpherson Museum

Leave a Legacy

To help safeguard the Museum for generations to come, please consider including the Clan Macpherson Museum in your Will or Trust.

By choosing to Leave a Legacy, you create a personal and lasting way to contribute to the Museum’s future. Your generosity helps protect its stories, artefacts, and heritage so they continue to inspire those who follow in your footsteps.

The Clan Macpherson Memorial Cairn on the Glentruim Estate near Newtonmore, built from stones sent by clan members around the world. The stone monument stands on a gravel base, fenced and surrounded by rolling green hills beneath a cloudy Highland sky.

Planning Your Bequest

We recommend speaking with a solicitor or estate-planning professional to ensure your bequest is legally valid and clearly reflects your intentions. The following wording may be adapted by your solicitor to suit the type of gift you wish to make:

“I give, devise and bequeath to Clan Macpherson Museum Trust SC020005, Clan Macpherson Museum, Main Street, Newtonmore, Highland PH20 1DE the following sum of £xxx (xxx pounds)”, or “the whole (or xxx% share) of my residuary estate”.

An unrestricted bequest is most helpful, as it lets the Museum direct funds where they’re most needed. If you would prefer to support a specific area of our work, we would be happy to discuss your wishes.

Every gift, whatever its size, contributes directly to the preservation and continuation of the Clan’s story.
